Video library and gallery for Windows
Point AIX Player at the folders your videos are in and it turns them into a browsable gallery with thumbnails, durations and resolutions. Search, sorting, favourites and playlists are free, and nothing is moved or renamed on disk.

Build the library from your folders
Add the folders you want under Folders › Manage Library, and AIX Player indexes the videos inside: thumbnails, durations, resolutions and how far through each one you are. After you move or add files, Settings → Library → Rescan now re-indexes every media folder.
Where the videos can be
- This PC. Folders on the PC’s own drives, and a mapped network drive the app can read, play in place.
- USB drives, SD cards and external disks. Plug them in and play from them, with nothing copied first.
- Network shares. Shared folders on a NAS or another Windows PC, through the network shares page: free with no time limit, and HDR has its own allowance.
- Media servers. Jellyfin, Emby or Plex, browsed and played on your PC through Media Servers: 180 minutes in total, once, then unlimited with AIX Pro.
- Links. A video URL plays straight from its address.
A gallery, as a grid or a list
All Videos shows every film in one place, as a poster grid or a detailed list, with small, medium or large cards. Settings → Library → All videos view sets how the full gallery is displayed.
Search and sort
Search covers the whole library. Group by Name, Size, Date added or Duration and choose Ascending or Descending; AIX does not offer file-type sorting.
Favourites and playlists
One tap marks a favourite and keeps it close. Playlists hold a running order you want to keep: build one, reorder it and play it straight through, with a cover collage and an item count so each is easy to recognise. Build a playlist.
Select several at once
Select several videos to make them favourites, add them to a playlist or remove them from the library in one go, instead of one at a time.
Look inside a folder first
Peek inside a folder to see what it holds before you open anything.
File details
A video’s details show its resolution, codec, size and duration on one page, so you can see its quality without opening it.
Removing videos, and what stays on disk
Removing a video from the library, or a folder from your collection, leaves the files exactly where they are. Removing library entries leaves your original videos in place. To rename or delete the file itself, use File Explorer, then rescan.
Resume and watch history
The library saves playback progress; reopening resumes eligible positions according to Playback starts and the resume rules. Resume and bookmarks explains more. In Settings → Library, Clear watch history removes resume points and recents, and Clear thumbnail cache frees space; the thumbnails are rebuilt when they are needed.
Free
The library, search, sorting, favourites and playlists are free, with no ads. Keep a large library organised has tips for big collections.
