AIX Player Help Center Library & everyday use

Keep a large video library organised

Past a few hundred files, finding what you want becomes the hard part. A little structure removes it entirely.

Let it index for you

Point AIX Player at the folders your videos live in and it builds a library with thumbnails, durations and how far through each one you are — as a poster grid or a detailed list, whichever suits.

Finding things fast

Search covers the whole library, and sorting by name, size, date added or file type narrows it further. Multi-select lets you favourite, add to a playlist or remove a batch in one action rather than one at a time.

Playlists and favourites

Favourites are a one-tap shortlist of what you return to. Playlists queue an evening in the order you want it, with cover collages and item counts so they are recognisable at a glance.

Nothing is moved or renamed on disk

Worth saying plainly, because library features in some apps reorganise your folders for you. AIX Player only reads — it builds an index of what is where and leaves your directory structure exactly as you arranged it. If you later stop using the app, your files are precisely where you put them, with the names you gave them.

Sorting that actually helps

Name and date added are the obvious ones, but size and file type are often more useful in practice. Sorting by size finds the disc rips filling a drive; sorting by type separates the phone clips from the films. Combined with search across the whole library, that is usually faster than remembering which folder something went into.

Watching what you started and never finished

The library shows how far through each file you are, which turns out to be the most-used feature for anyone with a large collection. It surfaces the series you abandoned three episodes in and the film you fell asleep during, without you having to remember either.
